Muhammad Iqbal also known as (Allama Mohammed Iqbal, Allama Iqbal) was a poet, Philosopher and politician and also an academic barrister and scholar. He was born on 9 November 1877 Sialkot, Punjab Province, British India, (now in Punjab, Pakistan) and Died on 21 April 1938, at the age of 60.
Allama Iqbal was widely regarded as having inspired the Pakistan Movement. He is called the "Spiritual Father of Pakistan " He is considered one of the most important figures in Urdu literature, with literary work in both Urdu and Persian.
Iqbal is admired as a prominent poet by Pakistanis, Iranians and other international scholars of both Urdu and Persian literature. Though Iqbal is best known as an eminent poet, he is also a highly acclaimed "Muslim philosophical thinker of modern times". His first poetry book, The Secrets of the Self, appeared in the Persian language in 1915, and other books of poetry include The Secrets of Selflessness, Message from the East and Persian Psalms. Amongst these, his other best known Urdu works are 'The Call of the Marching Bell', Gabriel's Wing, The Rod of Moses and a part of Gift from Hijaz. Along with his Urdu and Persian poetry, his Urdu and English lectures and letters have been very influential in cultural, social, religious and political disputes and considered phenomenal.
In 1922, he was knighted by King George V, granting him the title "Sir". While studying law and philosophy in England, Iqbal became a member of the London branch of the All-India Muslim League. Later, during the All-India Muslim League's December 1930 session, he delivered his most famous presidential speech known as the Allahabad Address in which he pushed for the creation of a Muslim state in northwest India.

In much of South Asia and the Urdu speaking world, Iqbal is regarded as the Shair-e-Mashriq ( شاعر مشرق, "Poet of the East"). He is also called as Mufakkir-e-Pakistan (مفکر پاکستان, "The Thinker of Pakistan"), Musawwir-e-Pakistan (مصور پاکستان, "Artist of Pakistan") and Hakeem-ul-Ummat (حکیم الامت, "The Sage of the Ummah"). The Pakistan government officially declared him "National Poet of Pakistan". His birthday Yom-e Viladat-e Muḥammad Iqbal (یوم ولادت محمد اقبال), or Iqbal Day, is a public holiday in Pakistan.
Sir Muhammad Iqbal's house is still located in Sialkot and is recognized as Iqbal's Manzil and is open for visitors.

1. Iqbal married three times. In 1895, he was married to Karim Bibi followed by the second marriage with Sardar Begum in 1910 and finally Mukhtar Begum in 1914.
2. Iqbal qualified for a scholarship from Trinity College, University of Cambridge and obtained Bachelor of Arts in 1906 And Earned His ‘Doctor of Philosophy’ degree from the Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich in 1908.
3. Iqbal’s First Book Of Poetry “Asrar-e-Khudi”, Was Written In The Persian Language And Deals With Philosophy Of Religion.
4. Allama Iqbal Was Attributed With Two Tittles “Mufakkir-e-Pakistan” (The Thinker Of Pakistan) And “Hakeem-ul-Ummat” )The Sage Of The Ummah).
5. He Was Given The “Khan Bahadurddin F.S. Jalaluddin” Medal In 1897 For An Outstanding Result In The Arabic Language.
6. There Is A Street Named After Iqbal In Heidelberg, Germany To Commemorate His Stay There.
7. There Is Also A Commemorative Plaque Outside His House In Germany In Honour Of The Great Poet.
